A smile from MFD , a thousand words worth

“I never will understand all the good that a simple smile can accomplish.

dustin-don-close-up-on-the-thanksgiving-day-ride-11-28-96. We were once asked this. We know because Dustin tells us.  Tools are Dustin’s friends, yet even without a  computer, a letterboard , a headpointer, a hand splint, a single switch, etc  Dustin remains a very expressive person.287t1517anne-dustin-at-ucsd-cross-country-9-13-971megan-dustin-opening-gifts-12-25-2000-112-30-2001-dustin-with-scott-fera-4112-25-2001-anne-megan-dustin-lindsey-don-z-3piazza004

For many years, Dustin had some control of his left arm.  This was intentional control that was compromised by spasticity , but control that was full of purpose and intent.  If I put my hand on his shoulder, thus aborbing some of his high muscle tone , Dustin was able to use a small splint and type.

The chinpointer is a help to Dustin as he has difficulty with objects being up close to his eyes. Possibly due to the way he uses his eyes, peripheral vision being stronger than central vision, etc.   In his younger days he was quite terrified of all headpointers.  Working with the chinpointer has been a help.  He is becoming much more comfortable with a headpointer.

LITTLE ANT

since hurt stifles much sullen and just emotion,

family insulates utter frustration.

too often, many times pitiful goofy old hilled paths of digging ants

line up like soldiers.

Fast at digging, they seem kind of intelligent

but very slavelike.

such obedience will really earn everyone’s respect.

Tell them I hide in the most open hill

and they are diggin right past

(Ants ought to keep proper hills)

Turning from the digging, the ants melt away. Do I feel sort of like a little ant that has

lost his mind?

Without family, yes I would.

Kismet at the tour

Can it seem possible?
Killing cut throat Lance’s times tepidly,
Dog takes the lead.
Attacking pedestrian first, he then catapults off,
Then attaches to a rear wheel.
Dog will be tested for dope.
Using Floyd’s doctors,
He utters “egalitarian that I am, it appears testosterone is high. At my assurance,
I am unusually manly.”

Today celebrates Cadillac of ect.

I age, utter out and in
Hurting each day
Dull thoughts
Mack

Mean
Kismet
Time to write, curtain down
